Meet the Staff:

Jordan S. Ross, D.O.

jsr On May 1st, 2007, Dr. Ross opened his “dream practice”, We Care Family Wellness Center, an integrated Osteopathic family practice serving all ages and offering the full scale services of a family practice, along with specialty Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine in a small, personal and friendly environment.Dr. Ross is on staff at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and Banner Baywood Hospital.Dr. Ross is thrilled to work with his wife Robin (office manager) and the superior staff of nurses (Amy, Julie and Tiffanie), all R.N.’s. He proudly welcomed Cheryl Simmons, FNP-C, our superior nurse practitioner, in February 2010. Cheryl’s addition has been a true blessing. In addition to Cheryl’s full range of family practice talents, she brings a special passion for women’s health and bio-identical hormone balancing into our practice.In his “free time,” Dr. Ross enjoys tennis, photography, films and spending time with Robin and their Shih Tzu puppy, Xena (see below).

Cheryl Simmons, FNP-C

cheryl2 Cheryl was born and raised in Queen Creek, Arizona.  She now lives in Gilbert with her husband Reg and their three sons Hudson (2008), Grady (2010), and Jack (2013). Cheryl attended Arizona State University as a student athlete playing volleyball. She received her BSN in May 2004.  She gained her nursing experience working at Mayo Clinic Hospital on the Neurology/Epilepsy and Ear/Nose/Throat floor. While returning to ASU to pursue a Masters in Family Practice, Cheryl worked for Arizona Home Care. There she provided care on a more personal level in the home and also did triage as the weekend supervisor.  During this time, she met Dr. Ross and Robin and was a part of the founding team as a RN at We Care Family Wellness Center in 2007. Cheryl graduated from ASU’s Family Nurse Practitioner program in December 2009 and came back to We Care in February 2010. She feels blessed to be a part of a practice where she has the opportunity to truly care for her patients. She feels honored  being able to work alongside Dr. Ross and the entire “We Care” team! Cheryl is passionate about men’s and women’s health including bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, pediatrics, preventative health, and disease prevention/education. Her goal is to provide comprehensive, individualized care for the lifespan while collaborating to reach optimal health for each patient.

Office Manager:

Robin F. Ross, MC

robin Robin grew up in Massachusetts, where she met Dr. Ross while both were freshmen at Tufts University. They married in 1987 and moved to Chicago for eight long winters while Dr. Ross received his medical training. A perpetual student, Robin has earned degrees in engineering, religious studies and counseling. Robin runs the “We Care” office and pursues her many interests including reading (especially mystery novels) and politics. She, Dr. Ross and their dog Xena live in Ahwatukee.


Amy Rohr, RN

amy Amy was born in Payson, Arizona and moved down to the Valley with her family at the age of three. She graduated from Dobson High School and then attended ASU for 4-1/2 years where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. She began her nursing career at Phoenix Children’s Hospital caring for premature and sick infants in the neonatal intensive care unit. After experiencing 3 years of professional, personal and wonderful growth at PCH, she ventured into elementary school nursing with Mesa Public Schools where she was blessed to practice nursing in a community type setting. In April of 2006, after a series of events, including pregnancy, she decided to leave school nursing and venture into assisting her father and brother w/ the family business. In January 2007, she gave birth to her daughter, Marlee.  In May 2007, she left the family business to begin working alongside Dr Ross and the We Care Team. In May 2008, her son Mason was born.  In December, 2010, her son Max was born. She and her husband Aaron and their children reside in Gilbert, Arizona. They attend Redemption Church in Gilbert, Arizona. She knows God has blessed her with a great opportunity at We Care to minister to those who are sick and hurting as well as rejoice with those who are achieving wellness.  She is here to serve, care and love and is thankful for the opportunity.

Tiffanie Russell, RN

tiff Tiffanie was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona where she still resides with her husband (Chris) and their three children (Molly, David, and Megan). Tiffanie received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Arizona State University in May of 2003. She spent the next year working in the emergency room at St. Joseph’s Medical Center; and then traveled the Valley to work in the various Banner Hospital ERs.  After the birth of her second child, she began working from home as a pediatric triage nurse for Phoenix Children’s Hospital, an ongoing part-time pursuit. She is thrilled to be a part of the We Care team and looks forward to serving all of you in the years to come.

Julie Santarone, RN

julie Originally from North Tonawanda, NY, outside of Buffalo, my family and I moved to Gilbert, AZ in 2008. I graduated from nursing school in 1994 and have extensive experience in various areas of nursing including adult ICU, neonatal ICU, school nursing, OB/GYN, family practice and pediatrics. I currently live in Gilbert with my husband Chris, our son Ryan, our daughter Heather and our two dogs Ripken and Scooby. After taking a break from nursing to be a stay-at-home mom, I am now excited to return to the nursing profession. When not at work, I enjoy exercising, spending time with my family and watching my son play baseball. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to stay home with my children for 5 years and now to be able to work in such a caring and positive environment as part of the We Care team.

Staff Pooch:


xena2 Xena, our seven year old Shih Tzu mix, is a working dog and an integral part of the “We Care” team.  Xena is morale officer, therapy dog, and security officer. She is great with patients of all ages and will surely make your visits more fun and relaxed.
